Accessing Files to Update Theme in WordPress

I installed my them back in 2013, and aside from some impel modifications, haven’t touched it. The theme (Bref) has been updated and I definitely need it as my feature photo on blog posts no longer imports correctly.
The instructions seem simple enough, IF I could locate the folder I need /wp-contents/themes. Search as I might, I have no idea anymore how to access it. Can you help me please?

Do you have FTP access to your server? How did you upload the files for the first time?
