In Settings > Reading we have the Home page set as what’s to show on the first page of the site. It doesn’t. Instead, a slider and some of the infoboxes we’ve set up are showing. I’m taking over the site and can’t find where these choices are being set.

The slider, the infoboxes, and the widgets are the components that build the home page (if you use the home page template, and set that up in “Settings > Reading”). I’m unsure if I understand what you would like to display on your home page. Could you please expand a bit on how you’d like to have that?
