Hi,

I need to get a login on the home page. When I use the standard home page, I can’t put a sidebar where I can get the login widget. If I use the blog as home, I can’t get a sidebar with the widget. Can’t figureout how to create a page with the widget. How do I force a login control? I’d prefer to have the blog masonry with a sidebar.

That would be plugin territory, you could have something like that by installing a plugin like this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/restricted-site-access/
