Unwanted images being added to my gallery

Hello,
Yesterday I added a gallery to my site and tonight I am adding some images to the content area of the gallery page, but it’s also being added to the gallery.
Is there a way to truly edit what images you want on the gallery. It seems once you have a gallery going back and adding/removing images does not work. If you start a new page and upload new images to that page it will show up, but that means you have to give captions and alt tags to the new images. I want to just add or remove ones I already have.
Thanks.
Juanfra Aldasoro October 10, 2013 at 8:08 amHello there,
Thanks for writing. The gallery template works with the images that were uploaded to that certain page. You then can also remove the photos by using the detach plugin.
In order to have a gallery with the WordPress functionality what you can do is a full width template and maybe insert the gallery there. It won’t be having the same fancybox effects as our template but you’ll be able to manage the way you want.
Best,
Juan.asubmarley2 October 11, 2013 at 1:54 amThanks for this. It’s probably best to just make sure you have all your final files ready and do the gallery all at once. Is there a specific detach plugin you use? I looked it up and found many.
Juanfra Aldasoro October 11, 2013 at 7:43 amNo problem 🙂
Yes, it is more likely to have the files altogether. However, we’re working in order to improve this.
With regards to the plugin, we don’t have any in particular. I’ve just searched the plugin repository and found this one that has good ratings: http://wordpress.org/plugins/unattach/
Best,
Juan.
