On our site, I have created an Article with the Format set to Video, and have inserted a YouTube video into the video.
Then, on our homepage, I expect to see a playable video in the Video Library section.
However, I only see a link to the video created. Screenshot here:

I have tried inserting the YouTube video into the article two ways; first, pasting the link & letting WordPress handle the embed; and second, by copying and pasting the actual embed code. Neither of these work.

I noticed a few other people have experienced this issue, but those tickets do not publicly point towards a solution. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for writing.

The embed on that section will take the embed code from the first video on the list. What you need to do is, whenever you create an article of type “video”, get the embed from Youtube and insert it in the “Embed code” in the article settings.
