White bar above slideshow

Hello!
I’ve created a dark background and for some reason there is a white bar above my slideshow. Is there a way to get rid of this? Maybe the size of my photos are wrong?
I was also wondering if there is a way to adjust the text within the container on the supporting pages rather than changing the container padding. Can you change the margins for the text per page? Hopefully that question makes sense.
Thanks!
Katie
Juanfra Aldasoro June 27, 2013 at 8:50 pmHello Katie,
Thanks for writing.
With regards to the white bar above your slideshow, please check that the class body.page-template-template-home-php #container has a 10px top padding.
I would recommend you to use firebug to check these type of CSS related issues.
I think I’m not getting you in your second question.
Thanks,
Juan.krotanz July 1, 2013 at 8:50 pmJuan,
Thanks for the reply. For some reason the white bar above was fixed by putting “0px” for top padding. I probably did something wrong, but the problem seems to be fixed!
Sorry my second question was confusing… Since I’ve used a dark background the text goes right to the edge of the container. I was wondering if there is a way to fix that instead of increasing the padding. Is there a way to adjust the margins of the text? I’d like the container to stay the same size. Hopefully that makes more sense now!
Thanks!
Katie
Juanfra Aldasoro July 1, 2013 at 9:44 pmHi Katie,
No problem 🙂 I’m happy to help.
With regards to your second question, the easiest way to do that would be adding padding to the #container. Have in mind that the theme has different templates (contact/gallery/etc) and each of them may have a different structure in terms of the content inside the #container.
Best,
Juan.krotanz July 2, 2013 at 3:47 pmThanks Juan!
Will I need to increase the size of my slideshow images now so there isn’t white space to the left and right of the image?
Juanfra Aldasoro July 2, 2013 at 11:07 pmHello Katie,
Actually if you use padding, the size of the image won’t change things. The white space will be there.
That’s something more related with the way you want to customize the theme. Unfortunately, we can’t provide support on customizations.
Thank you,
Juan.
