Adding a link to menu category description

Request ID #2239 In Progress
  • Hi there,

I’d like visitors to my site to be able to click on a link to open a printable menu for each category on the menu, but the link to open in a new browser window.

    HTML code would normally be:
    Printable pdf menu

However, when I update the menu category and then go back to edit it, the target=”blank” part is gone.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you,
    Angela

    Hi Angela,

Thanks for writing. Where is that you’re adding the HTML code?

    Best,
    Juan.

    Hi Juan,

I am adding the HTML code in the description field for the category (Food Menu, Menu Categories).

    Thank you,
    Angela

    Hi Angela,

Thanks for writing. Then it is a WordPress issue, maybe you can try by looking a plugin in the public repository that lets you use HTML in the categories descriptions. Something like: http://wordpress.org/plugins/allow-html-in-category-descriptions/

    Best,
    Juan.
