Hi
After a lot of reading of bbpress documentation I have come to the conclusion that the theme is suppressing the display of role (keymaster, moderator, participant etc.) under the name in forum posts.
Is that correct? If so, please could you tell me which file I need to edit in a child theme to get it back?

Yes, the bbPress implementation is done via templates. This means that the theme has its own modified version of bbPress templates. Is there any place in particular you are looking to have the user role? (forum list, topic, etc).

The original bbPress file can be found at wp-content/plugins/bbpress/templates/default/bbpress/loop-single-reply.php
