  • Hello

I would like to create a new Info Box titled Video Tutorials. Clicking the Video Tutorials box should take the visitor to a page that provides a list of all the video tutorials available on the site.

I am able to create a new Info Box and I am able to title it Video Tutorials. This box displays correctly.

However, I do not know how to create a video tutorial Page that contains the auto-populated list of all articles that are video formatted.

How do I create a video tutorial Page that contains a list of all the articles that have been formatted as “Video Articles” so that I can include a link to this page through the Info Boxes?

    Thank you
    Tom

    Hmmmm….I found a bit of a hack.

    http://domain/article-category/category

    That does the trick.

For example, if I have an article category titled “video”, I can link the info box as per:

    http://www.mydomain.com/article-category/video

and that will take the visitor to the video page and display all the articles that have been categorized within the video category.

While this is not populating articles formatted as video, it does give me a list of articles that are placed within the video category.

    Hi Tom,

I hope you are doing well.

Yes, unfortunately at this time there’s no template to display a “grid” of video Articles. We’re thinking about maybe including this functionality in the future.

However, in the meantime, we created a template that you can add to your theme folder in order to have something similar. You can find the file here: https://gist.github.com/juanfra/c88de09a5596e66ae15e326c89b25011

Please have in mind that, unlike the theme, this template is unsupported as it’s not part of the theme yet.

    Best,
    Juan.

I forgot to mention that the grid will display the “Featured Image” for the Video Article and not the video directly. If you need help with featured images, you can read this article: https://nicethemes.com/article/using-featured-images/

    Best,
    Juan.
