Hello,
we recently purchased you great Flatbase template, and it gave us an error when trying to upload it through wordpress:The file you uploaded, flatbase.zip, contains a virus so the upload was canceled: {HEX}a2.edoced_46esab.1.UNOFFICIAL FOUND
So we when ahead and uploaded it via FTP (inside the themes folder).
Everything seemed to be working perfectly until we noticed it is creating an error with the width of the page so you it creates a wider page than the browser and you actually get a sideways scrolling option at the bottom.
In fact, we’ve installed it several times and it keeps doing the same thing.
You can see 3 examples if it here:Could you please give us support to solve this issue?
Thank you very much.Juanfra Aldasoro April 18, 2018 at 12:42 amHi,
Thank you for reaching out to us! I hope you’re doing well.
What virus alert did you get? We’ve analyzed the zip we uploaded to ThemeForest and it’s free from viruses.
With regards to the width problem, would you please try deactivating all the plugins and only use the theme? We couldn’t reproduce the issue.
Best,
Juan.btqhomes April 18, 2018 at 11:49 pmRegarding the virus, all the info I have is the one I submitted in the first message:
“The file you uploaded, flatbase.zip, contains a virus so the upload was canceled: {HEX}a2.edoced_46esab.1.UNOFFICIAL FOUND”
But I will try to reinstall the theme on another wordpress and see if i can get more details.Regarding the width problem, I did deactivate all plug-ins (actually you can see the only one activated is the one recommended by you, “bbPress”) and the problem is still there (in Chrome).
I did try it in Safari and it’s also there.
But it is not in Firefox.
You download screenshots of all of it in this link:btqhomes April 19, 2018 at 5:47 amHello again.
I have good news for you guys, bad news for us.The installation problem has been solved.
It seems when I used the zip file included in the complete theme download, there is a problem because “the theme is missing the style css stylesheet”
(see screenshot enclosed)
But when I use the basic “only zip installation file” (and option in envato when downloading the theme) that error desappears and the installtion is successful.
(see screenshot enclosed)And regarding the width problem, after all day installing and uninstalling wordpress and your theme, I found out where the problem comes from. It’s all about the footer widgets. If I delete all the widgets from the footer the problem desappears.
(see screenshots also enclosed)The good news for you is that you don’t have to find where the problem is anymore. We did that work for you.
The bad news for us is taht until you don’t solve the problem we cannot have widgets in the footer, which is obviously not right. So we will look forward to some news from you regarding how to solve the problem. And we really hope we will not have to uninstall the theme and reinstall it again, because that would mean a lot of time on top of all the time we’ve already put into it.
Looking forward to your news.
Best regards,

Cheersbtqhomes April 20, 2018 at 5:03 amOne more issue that we’ve encountered, always related to the search widget, is that wherever we place it the width problem appears.
Here is an example of the same wordpress with the search widget on the article page:
(with the width error)And that same WordPress without the search widget in the footer:
(without the width error)And finally another WordPress with a sample of an article without the search widget:
(without the width error)Please let us know as soon as you find a solution for this problem because a knowledge base without the search field in the article pages is not really useful.
Thank you.
BoutiqueHomesJuanfra Aldasoro April 20, 2018 at 12:46 pmHi,
Thank you for the follow-up.
Would you please add the following Custom CSS:
.screen-reader-text { width: initial !important; }
You can put that in Flatbase > Theme Options > Customize > Custom Code & Scripts > Custom CSS or in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS
Thank you,
Juan.btqhomes April 20, 2018 at 11:17 pmBeautiful Juanfra!
