Permalinks: can't seem to update to custom structure

Hi,
Trying to modify the URL structure. It seems the Flatbase theme overrides the WordPress Permalinks settings somehow. I’d like /article-category/ to change to /topics/ etc.
Whenever I try to use Custom Structure and click Save, it reverts back to Post Name.
Where can I change this? Thanks!

Thank you for writing. I hope you’re doing well.
Please have in mind that article-category is a custom taxonomy, and that cannot be changed via the permalinks section. You’ll need to use a plugin like this one to achieve that: https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-permalinks/

Thank you for the follow-up.
It the plugin doesn’t let you change the slug, then you’ll have to change it directly from where the taxonomy is registered, in flatbase/includes/custom-post-types/article/article.php
