Hello. Is it possible to change or hide “article” from clean url permalinks? Thank you very much!
Juanfra Aldasoro April 23, 2014 at 12:41 amHello,
Thanks for writing. I’ve moved the topic to the correct forum.
With regards to the permalinks, the “article” part indicates what type of content WordPress should look for. In order to modify that you can either get into the code, or you can use a plugin like: http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-permalinks/

And I want to get that:
URL/article_Slug
Thank you very much for your help.
Juanfra Aldasoro January 28, 2015 at 1:27 pmHi,
Thanks for your prompt response. As I’ve explained in https://nicethemes.com/forums/topic/clean-url-permalinks/#post-4022, that’s not possible. It is not possible because WordPress works by having a reference to the type of information that it has to get from the database. That’s why it needs to have some part of the permalink pointing that out. You can modify that part of the permalink, but you can’t eliminate it.
With regards to the plugin, I’m pretty sure that the authors will be able to give you a much more accurate information regarding its usage. You can post them any of your queries over here: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/custom-post-type-permalinks
Best,
Juan.
