Colour behind main website frame?

Hi Juan,
Another quick question for you… is there a way I can make the sides of the screen (behind the main website) a solid colour using css? I love the simple white + accent colour of the main site but the guys I’m putting the site together for would like to see more of the accent colour in the site.
Failing this, is there a way to possibly change the background of the slider text (current grey) to another colour?
Hope that makes sense!
Thanks in advance,
Billy

Thanks for writing. Unfortunately at the moment, that can’t be made through the theme options. However, there are many ways in which you can customise your site’s look by using CSS.
In the theme docs you’ll find an explanation on where you can add the CSS code: http://nicethemes.com/support/theme-docs/bbq/#custom-scripting

Thanks for this but I’m just looking for a way to change the white ‘strips’ down the right and left hand side of the page to a solid colour, can you tell me how to do this please (if it’s even possible?)
Thanks,
Billy
Juanfra Aldasoro November 8, 2013 at 10:48 amHi Billy,
Thanks for your response. Speaking about possibilities, it is possible. The problem is that it is not a simple task. I mean, there are loads of code to change and for sure if the code of the site is changed, then it’s quite possible that the design rules for the responsive site (when the site is viewed from mobile devices) must be changed as well. This is what we call a site customisation. Unfortunately our support scope doesn’t cover customisations. On the other hand, we are thinking of adding this feature in the future cause there were many users asking about it.
I hope this helps,
Juan.
