Disable mobile Theme

Hi,
Our website is going live next week and quite a few users have come back & said that they would prefer to use the full site rather than the mobile site on their mobiles/tablets.
From our point of view, the mobile site provides a condensed version of the full site & we find it easy to use – however, some of the less-technical users are logging on and are not able to find what they are looking for (particularly when the mobile version opens on an iPad/Tablet).
Most of our target audience will be logging onto the site initially on their mobile/tablet during a meeting so we need to make sure that the first thing they see is the full site.
How do we go about disabling the mobile theme so that when you log onto the site using an iPhone/android phone or iPad/tablet – the main site is presented to the user?
Other than that, we’ve been very impressed with the functionality of the BBQ theme and it integrates well with Woocommerce & the other plugins we are using.
I look forward to your response.
Best regards, Rob
Juanfra Aldasoro April 4, 2013 at 3:14 pmHi Rob,
Thanks a lot for your kind words.
With regards to disabling the responsive design, you can edit the file style.css, if you check that file, you’ll see that the last part contains the rules for the different devices.
So, in order to remove the mobile theme you can remove from line #1847 onwards.
Best,
Juan.
