Hi,
I can’t manage the gallery to look and work as in your live demo.
The photo’s are getting a grey stroke around them, look smaller and when you click them, the photo’s appear in a new window instead of it opening bigger so you can scroll through the photo’s.
Can you please help me?
Thanks.
Juanfra Aldasoro May 15, 2013 at 1:36 pmHi There,
Thanks for writing. I’ll guide you on how to use the gallery template.
First of all, when creating a page in which you want to show the gallery, you need to select the gallery template for that page.
You can read more on this link to understand how to use page templates: http://nicethemes.com/support/theme-docs/bbq/#page-templates
Please, be sure you select the Gallery template for that page. If you don’t set your page template with the gallery template it won’t work.
Second, you need to upload pictures to that gallery. In order to do this, use the Page mediauploader ( The “Add Media” button below the title in the page form ) choosing as many pictures as you want from your hard drive. You can edit the information for the images. Then save changes and publish the page.
You don’t need to add them to the page content, as they’re uploaded already and linked to the page.
Finally, the template will make the magic happen.

Juan.studioversemelk May 15, 2013 at 1:46 pmHi there,
I actually did everything you described, but it is not looking how it looks like in the live demo.
Do you have some more advise how to make it look as great as in the live demo?

SanneJuanfra Aldasoro May 15, 2013 at 1:57 pmHi Sanne,
Thanks for your quick response.
Actually, it seems that you haven’t uploaded the images for that page – else, it would be working like the demo. The way to see this is go to the “Edit Page” for the gallery page, if you click over the “Add media” button and then select “Uploaded to this page” you’ll see that there are no images related to that page. Then, you can upload them over there and that way they’ll be linked to the Gallery page. As a result, the template will look the same way as in the demo site.
Also, you have inserted a gallery in the page content, you need to remove that.
Best,
Juan.
