Is there a way to re order the photos with gallery template. Currently I am attaching the photos to a page but can’t seem to trick it into the order I want. I wish to preserve the higher view capability.

Actually if you upload the files they’ll be displayed in the order given by the filenames. Now, we’ve updated the gallery template recently and it now works with the WordPress galleries – where you can set an order by dragging and dropping elements – http://codex.wordpress.org/The_WordPress_Gallery
