  • Hi there,
First of all, this is a great theme and outstanding work with this! Got a minor issue. It looks like the icons like the little search icon is not showing up on my site and instead there is a little square. Same with other icons on my website like icons besides the article or the video library icon, it doesn’t show the icons like you have in demo. It’s showing little squares. Please see here:

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

I hope you are doing well.

Thank you for your kind words. We’re really happy to hear that 🙂

With regards to the icons, these are using the FontAwesome library which is included in the theme. What kind of permissions do you have for the files in your theme?

Would you please send me the site URL in a private reply?

It sounds like it’s a problem with file permissions, where the icon files are not being served.

    Best,
    Juan.

    Hi,

Thank you for the follow up.

Can you contact your hosting provider and ask them if they have any web font format disabled by default? The font files are there and they’re being loaded but the response is empty files.

Another thing you can try before contacting them (to see if it’s a hosting problem) is re uploading the font files. They are located in flatbase/includes/assets/

    Juan.

    Hi,

I can see that the fonts are requested on another domain, so it is a cross domain issue. (If you go and check the site in Google Chrome the icons are there)

There’s a solution for that, it has to do with the .htaccess configuration. You need to follow the solution described in the most popular answer on this thread:

    Hi,

Thank you for the follow-up. Please check if your server is Apache or nginx and add the code accordingly.

You can add it at the end of the file. After # END WordPress

    Hi,

    Thank you for the follow-up.

I´m sorry to hear that. Please be sure to copy the string literally, with the same quotation marks. If it still doesn’t work, I’d recommend you to load the font styles from the same domain.

    Best,
    Juan.
