Juanfra Aldasoro February 28, 2013 at 12:00 amHey there,
🙂 Remember you need to have 777 permission on your bbq/cache/ directory. I’ve done this for you. You should now be able to see images without any trouble.
Best,
Juan.hmm. if you include a pic in the page and set another pic, it blows up! 🙂 it works now, getting closer!
thanks boss!
OK now getting at the info boxes. I dont have a lot of text to show. how do i increase the text area so it shows a little more text…? i dont need a continuation url on two of the boxes .
thanks Juan! stoked i’m moving ahead with this.
Juan, hopefully you will answer my infobox question.
on the sliders, i included an image in the content of the slider, then set a featured image different than what went into the page and thats the error that happened when I displayed the home page. when i fixed that, it was all cool.
I guess taking the default permissions of folders doesnt always work 🙂
Juanfra Aldasoro February 28, 2013 at 12:30 amHey there,
Regarding the infoboxes – you can edit the file template-home.php, line #76
< ?php nice_excerpt( 150 ); ?>
150 is the number of chars that it is displaying now. You can change that number in order to show more text.
Regarding the slider, it’s prepared to show the featured image. I would not recommend you to insert any other image.
You’re right 😉

I added urls into the infoboxes tonight and then the slider disappeared!
HELP! 🙂
Juanfra Aldasoro March 1, 2013 at 1:36 pmHello there,
thanks for writing. I’ve seen your site and it seems that you’ve added a plugin that is using jquery version 1.4 – that’s an old version of jquery. (kino event calendar)
This is causing conflict with the other JS and the slider. Please deactivate that plugin and you’ll see it works fine.
Best,
Juan.cYask9 March 1, 2013 at 4:16 pmdujmy me, i removed the widget but forgot to deactivate because the slider disappeared near the time I installed that calendar. can you recommend a calendar better than the default that allows fast forwarding thru the months?
Thanks again for the wonder full theme. I’m getting most of it but a few questions
1. on the front page, the info box urls, can i get them to line up without adjusting the text?
2. the testimonials, how do i change the default font? too big 🙂Thanks a bazillion for your help. you can bet i’ll be buying more nice themes and telling my network about you guys …
Juanfra Aldasoro March 1, 2013 at 6:01 pmHi,
No problem 🙂 Honestly I don’t have any calendar plugin to recommend. However I’m sure it must be some plugin to fit your needs in the WordPress plugin repository ->http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=calendar
You can filter results by relevance, highest rated, popular, etc.
Regarding your questions:
1. You can try and work that out with some custom CSS. Try adding the following line of code to your custom.css file or insert it on the “Custom CSS” input over your theme options:
.infobox .entry-excerpt p{ min-height: 180px; }
2. At the moment the style for that text is not modifiable through the options panel. However you can fix that with some css. The class is .entry .testimonial blockquote
So, in order to modify that you can try the following, for example:
.entry .testimonial blockquote{ font-size: 16px; }
Thanks for your kind words about us 🙂 We really appreciate it – Thank you!
Have a nice day,
Juan.
