I’m trying to make a full-size page without comments. Something like “about us”. While I didn’t find a template like this. Should I turn off the comment function or generate my own template? Could you help on how to do that?
Thank you.
Juanfra Aldasoro May 20, 2013 at 5:55 pmHello there,
You need to disallow comments. You have two ways to do this:
1) Go to the Theme Options panel, and untick the “Allow comments on pages” option
2) Second: In order to do this for a certain page you need to click on the “Screen Options” on the top right part of the screen in the Page form, and tick the “Discussion” checkbox.
Once you do that, you’ll see a box that says “Discussion”, and then disable the “Allow comments” box.
Best,
Juan.hefeng May 20, 2013 at 6:32 pmHi Juan,
Thank you for the reply. The second method did work!
But there is a line saying “comments are closed” under the post. Any way to remove it?
btw, the theme is actually Netelier. Thanks,
IrisJuanfra Aldasoro May 20, 2013 at 6:36 pmHi Iris,
Sorry, I thought you were talking about BBQ.
You need to go and edit the file comments.php, on line #118 approximately, and erase the code that says “Comments are closed”.
Best,
Juan.
