Hi Guys.
I have been using flat base for a non for profit support FAQ/ support information dump. Its not flash, but provides a lot of data.
Content loaded to flat base contains a lot of PDF files. My requirement : PDF content search indexing
Noted there are a lot of search-content-plugins and also Google has a perfectly good free plugin which can add a widget on the side bar for searching.
My thoughts
– Stick with current setup. But add the free google plugin + widget to side bar – would meet requirements, This would not affect current theme main search function ??? , and the widget could be labeled as an advance content search option / funtion ??
– OR would adding a search engine plugin (i.e Google)- replace the search engine for the entire theme / WordPress installation. Would this break the themeThanks in advance – again for your feedback support.

Thank you for writing. I hope you are doing well.
I’m afraid these type of functionality goes beyond what the theme offers. If you totally replace the search functionality with a search engine plugin (i.e. Google) you’ll end up losing the live search and some other search result pages.
Best,
Juan.
