Posts Page Builder doesn't Index Content Categories

Hi,
I read this article and it was very helpful to me: https://nicethemes.com/article/posts/
However, I want to post products from a specific product category. When I type in the category that I want to show, the builder glitches and shows ALL the products instead of just that specific category. When I go in to check, the category section of the posts page builder is empty. I then add the category again and as soon as a click on something else, the category disappears.
Please help! I really need this to work!

Juanfra Aldasoro April 4, 2018 at 10:35 pmHello Nina,
Thank you for writing. I hope you are doing well.
Would you please send me your site access details in a private reply, along with the page you’re trying to edit and the category you’d like the posts element to filter?
Best,
Juan.ninanevski April 5, 2018 at 7:25 amI figured out that I need to write “categories:32” to make it show the “lesson” category. You can imagine how long it took me to figure out the number 32, since it has nothing to do with that product category. It’s a temporary fix for me, but I’d still love to get this resolved, where I can type in an category and see them show up.
ninanevski April 5, 2018 at 5:48 pmAlso, another issue that I noticed is that when I select the buy button to show quick view through the posts page builder, the quick view doesn’t turn off, even when I try and turn it off. When I try to exit the quick view, it starts up again and it’s impossible to close it.
Here is the page that I’m talking about – you can view the glitch there. https://www.worshippianotutorials.com/lessons-with-woo-2/
Hope to hear from you soon!

Juanfra Aldasoro April 5, 2018 at 11:17 pmHi Nina,
Thanks for the follow-up.
Yes, actually the WooCommerce categories are taxonomies and not categories, you can go directly to the taxonomy field and start typing and then you can select the value from there. I’ve recorded a video to show you how to do it: https://cloudup.com/cmG05DCNPgv
Regarding the quick view button, it is quite strange because you are using the buy now button. Have you tried to use the quick view button instead?

Juanninanevski April 6, 2018 at 2:57 amOhhh that makes sense! Thanks for clarifying that. – can’t believe the solution was so easy.
The “add to cart” button has an option to make it a “quick view” button without using the quick view option. I assume it should work just like the quick view and not glitch out like that. :/
Anything I can do to make the quick view turn off after viewing? Did you see how it glitches?

Juanfra Aldasoro April 6, 2018 at 12:59 pmHi Nina,
Thanks for the follow-up.
Yes, I was able to reproduce it. And we’re checking what could be causing that. That’s why I suggested you to try to use the default “quick view” instead of the one on the add to cart button in the meantime.
Thank you for your comprehension.
Best,
Juan.
