  • This is Jerome.

I am trying to “set featured” images for Posts and they are not showing up.

    Need help figuring out why.

I am trying to set a featured image for the post: What is the “Right” amount of BUSY?

I am using the correct dimensions for the image, but it is not working.

Here is the image I am trying to put on that post: http://www.cbsullivanconsulting.com/resizedpostit.jpg

    Hi Jerome,

    Thanks for writing.

Are you getting any error or something? Are you uploading the image or trying to use it as an external image?

I’ve been through your site and it seems that the image is not uploading on wordpress. Have you checked the wp-content/uploads folder permissions?

    Best,
    Juan.

Yes, trying to upload those images.

I just looked at the uploads folder and all other sub-directories and they are all set to: 755

They go into this folder: /wp-content/uploads/2013/02/

That folder is set at permissions: 755

All the other images that have been uploaded are in there, so I am not sure why this is happening now.

    Hi Jerome,

This has to do with the WordPress mediauploader or either the permissions for directories. Would you please send me your FTP details to support@nicethemes.com

    Juan.

ok, the email will be coming from this email address: support@jerpat.org

    Thanks for the information, Jerome.

You moved your site from the /dev/ directory recently, right?

I went to “Settings > media”, and the folder for the uploads didn’t exist. By this, I mean that the path was wrong.

There was a /dev/ folder in the middle.

I’ve now updated your WordPress site media configuration and everything works great. Please be sure to check this if you move your site again.

    Have a nice day,
    Juan.

Thanks so much for that. Yep I moved it from /dev to the root and that is one area I did not change, so thank you very much!

    No problem 🙂

    Have a nice day,
    Juan.
