I am a bit confused on how to setup the knowledge base categories like the demo page:
http://demo.nicethemes.com/?t=flatbase
I was wondering if you could provide a quick dashboard run down to create a catagory.
Example do I go to Articles > Click Categories > Enter Name > Click SAVE?
* How do I change the Knowledge Base view to be like the demo?
Then how do I assign an article to a catagory?
Example do I go to Articles > Click Add New > Enter Details > Assign Category or Tag??
Juanfra Aldasoro December 20, 2015 at 1:28 pmHi,
Thank you for writing. I hope you are doing well today.
To make the site look like the demo site you need to get the XML file from this address: http://nicethemes.com/theme-xml-demo-content/
There’s also an explanation over there, about the steps you need to follow after you are done with the import of the contents (the ones in the XML file).
What you need to do is the following:
You need to do a couple of things in order to get your site configured and looking like the demo site:
1) Set up the front page. http://nicethemes.com/article/setting-home-page/
2) Set up the widgets for the different widgetized spaces. http://nicethemes.com/article/using-wordpress-widgets/
3) Configure the navigation menu. http://nicethemes.com/article/setting-navigation-menu/
4) Save the theme options. In your site dashboard, go to NiceThemes > Theme Options and hit the Save button. With regards to assigning an article to a category, when creating or editing an article you’ll see a box on the right part of the screen titled “Articles”, what you need to do is select the category you’d like to assign to that specific article. You can also create categories from that box directly.
Best,
Juan.
