Site Setup and Content Display Questions

Greetings,
I’m working on a site on a MAMP and have a couple questions. I’ve set up a couple WP blogs in the past but am a dabbler and not a developer — sorry but doing my best. I’ve tried some of the solutions after following the forums. Thanks in advance for your help.
1. I’ve created pages and they show up on the menu bar when I view the site, but when I click on the link I get: “The requested URL /website0test/index.php was not found on this server.” Under Permalinks, Common Settings, I’ve set it to “post name” rather than the “default setting.” …
(Note: tried other solutions from forums regarding deactivating plugins, MAMP, etc)
2. I put the Twitter widget in a pre-footer box but no tweets are displaying on the site. I signed up for a Twitter developer account and imported the consumer and access keys and secrets, etc. Lost beyond that to get the tweets to appear.
3. Same problem as above trying to import an Instagram photo in pre-footer.
4. When I import the site’s logo it bumps the large slider photo down and there is too much white space — in part because it’s a more vertical logo. I have seen other BBQ-themed sites where the main navigation bar is below the centered logo, if that makes sense. Do I need to go into the code and change a padding setting/number?
Thanks for your time and help.

Juanfra Aldasoro October 6, 2013 at 7:59 amHi There,
Thanks for writing. I hope you’re doing well.
Regarding your questions:
1. Is the first WordPress site you run locally? You’ve already updated permalinks, rithg?
Then, that seems to be a problem within your apache configuration. So please let me know if this is only happening with this theme or in any of your local WordPress installs.2 and 3. Solved 🙂
4. I’m not sure if I understand you, due I haven’t seen these kind of customisations you mention. Would you send me an example over support@nicethemes.com?
Best,
Juan.
