The Flatbase theme is not showing up on the website or live preview. I’ve disabled all the plugins but that did not seem to help.
Juanfra Aldasoro April 12, 2017 at 12:58 pmHi,
Thank you for writing. I hope you are doing well.
I went to your WP admin dashboard and I could see that the theme is installed, and also that there are some Must Use Plugins without too much description on what is that they do. It seems that the error comes from there.
When checking the front end of the site, I see that a few lines of code are processed, and they include an iframe.
I would like to ask you if you could remove the must use plugins and re-check if you are available to see the website. If you still can’t see the site, then please set the WP_DEBUG into true and see if you get any error. You can learn how to set WP_DEBUG to true here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress
Thank you,
Juan.danSolv April 12, 2017 at 4:33 pmHi Juan,
Thanks for your reply!
I’ve done all that you’ve suggested:
– Removed all Must Use Plugins
– Set WP_DEBUG to trueAfter doing these 2 steps, I’m still not seeing the theme and I did not notice any errors being displayed or an error log being created.
Any suggestions for next steps?
Thanks,
DanJuanfra Aldasoro April 12, 2017 at 5:04 pmHi Dan,
Thanks for the follow-up.
I can see that you have a different Site URL from the WordPress URL in your site settings. When a site is configured that way, WordPress creates an iframe and includes the content from the “WordPress” address. The problem with your site is that the WordPress address is returning a 404 error.
This has to do with your server configuration.
The one option I suggest may be creating the .htaccess file, which hasn’t been created because your WordPress directory is not writeable. If you go to “Settings > Permalink” in your WordPress dashboard, you will see the instructions at the bottom of the page.
Best,
Juan.
