Hey there!

I haven’t updated my website in a few weeks or even touched the code or edited anything, but I do check it periodically on my normal internet browser.

A few days ago though, I noticed suddenly my Twitter (NiceThemes) Widget no longer displays Tweets. I let it alone for a few days ago to see if it would just resolve itself normally, but still no luck.

Don’t know what the issue is but thought I’d bring it to the support forum’s attention. And I’d like my tweets to show up again 🙂

Hi Brad,

Thanks for writing. Unfortunately the reason of this issue has to do with Twitter’s new API (https://dev.twitter.com/blog/api-v1-is-retired). They now ask for an API key on every request, thing that breaks the way that many users/sites/wordpress themes were retrieving the tweets.

We’re looking for a solution regarding this issue. I hope to have news soon. We’ll be posting updates on our twitter account @nice_themes
