Hi,
My website doesn’t scroll with the track pad (you can only scroll by clicking on the scroll bar on the right side of the screen). I really don’t like that, especially since I want great usability. Please help! I want to be able to scroll freely!

Juanfra Aldasoro November 17, 2017 at 1:37 pmHi Nina,
Thanks for writing. I hope you are doing well.
The problem has to do with Chrome changing the way their browser interprets some things on version 61 and that was causing some strange behavior in the scrolling. We released a version of Smart on the 20th of September to fix this. You can find more information on the changelog. http://updates.nicethemes.com/themes/smart/changelog.txt
You need to update smart to its latest version in order to fix the problem. The changes were done in the stylesheet, so it is quite likely that you still have the previous version of the CSS cached in your browser. Please first update the theme latest version and then perform a hard refresh of your site when using chrome.
You can learn more about hard refresh here: https://www.getfilecloud.com/blog/2015/03/tech-tip-how-to-do-hard-refresh-in-browsers/

Juan.ninanevski November 17, 2017 at 5:32 pmThank you for your reply. I tried to update yesterday, however, it warned me that if I update, all the data and website will be lost, so I was afraid to proceed.
What should I do?
ninanevski November 17, 2017 at 5:37 pmExact warning: “Updating the theme will lose any customizations you have made to its code. ‘Cancel’ to stop, ‘OK’ to update.”
Juanfra Aldasoro November 17, 2017 at 8:51 pmHi Nina,
Thank you for the follow-up.
Have you done any customization to the Theme Code?
Best,
Juanninanevski November 19, 2017 at 1:12 amI don’t think I have – I only made the child theme and installed some demos and made them my own.
Juanfra Aldasoro November 19, 2017 at 2:28 pmHi Nina,
Thank you for the follow-up.
And thank you for the information. Only the parent theme will be updated, so I’m pretty sure you won’t be having any problem updating the theme.

Juanfra Aldasoro November 21, 2017 at 1:07 pmHi Nina,
Thank you for the follow-up.
Have you activated the license on more than one site? You can go and check that by going to your dashboard > My Orders > View Licenses > Manage Sites.
Would you please share your site access details with me (in a private reply) so I can take a look?
Thank you very much,
JuanJuanfra Aldasoro November 22, 2017 at 1:30 pmHi Nina,
Thank you for sharing your details with me.
I’ve just tried to update the theme via the support and updates page and everything went well on the first attempt. You can check the results on your site.
Please, to see the changes regarding the scroll issue, make sure that you perform a hard refresh when visiting your site. That way the browser will erase the cached copy of the main stylesheet and it will load the new one.
You can read more about hard reload here: https://www.getfilecloud.com/blog/2015/03/tech-tip-how-to-do-hard-refresh-in-browsers/
I’ve deleted the cache from autoptimize so your visitors start seeing the new stylesheet as well.
Best,
Juan.
