In what order are the articles displayed in the homepage knowledgebase category groups?

I added a new article but it does not appear in the relevant category on the homepage. I assumed that they would display in descending date order but clearly not?

Hello Greg,

Thank you for writing. I hope you are doing well.

The knowledgebase actually use the “menu order” to give an order to the articles. That way you can directly set a numeric value to each article and choose which one to display first.

If you don’t get to see the “Order” box when creating/editing an article, make sure that you click the “Screen options” toggle at the top right part of the page and select to display it.

If you want to change the order and do it by date, or alphabetically, then you can also add a function like this one to the functions.php file:
