  • Just installed Flatbase 1.0.6 and can’t get home page to display like the demo.

I selected the “Home” template, but all is showing are three bands: green, white (empty) and a grey footer. It doesn’t even show the search bar.

    Any hint?

    Hello,

Thank you for writing. Have you checked the theme options panel? Please be sure that you check and save the options.

With regards to the grey footer, that section is populated with widgets. You´ll need to set them in the “Appearance > Widgets” section.

    Best,
    Juan.

Is there any option to hide/show the search bar? I can’t find any

I don’t want widgets in the footer for now.

    Hi,

Thank you for the follow up.

No, the search bar is part of the home page template. The only way to remove that would be creating a child theme and editing the code in the file header.php

    Best,
    Juan.

However this is how it displays: http://infocamilla.pediatria.it/. It uses “template-home.php”. Any idea?

    Hi,

Thank you for the follow up. Have you installed the demo contents?

Would you please send us your site access details to support@nicethemes.com?

    Thank you,
    Juan.

I imported the demo, but the front page still does not display the search bar and the info boxes. See http://infocamilla.pediatria.it/

    Hi,

Thank you for the follow up and for sending your site access details.

I went through your site and you didn’t set the theme options, the home page wasn’t using the home page template, and the navigation menu wasn’t configured.

You still need to configure the widgets the way you want.

We’ve created some articles to explain how to do this:

Hi juanfra, thanks for the great work!

I actually used the Home template in my static front page: you can see two “Home” pages created by me, and they both display the search box now, after your fix (and they both ignore the actual page body text), so I think the problem where somewhere else. You mentioned theme options: can you kindly tell what these options are and how did you set them?

To summarize what didn’t show up when I requested your help:
    – search section
    – infoboxes
    – categories boxes

I think there is some option I couldn’t and still can’t find.

    Hi Raffaele,

Thank you for the follow up. The theme options panel can be found in the left part of your admin screen, as “NiceThemes > Theme Options”. From there you can set up all those different things.

    Best,
    Juan.
