No output in WP from my Home Page

That’s fine about the Home Page template, but for an inexperienced WP user, but you should DOCUMENT the fact that nothing placed in that column will be produced on the site’s home page.
You also have not answered my question: how to achieve text that is superimposed on the slider’s background images? The Paeon template demo demonstrates the presence of such text, but I cannot achieve it yet.

Thanks for your suggestion, we’ll do our best to improve on that regard.
With regards to the slider captions:
1) Make sure that you fill in the details for each slide: https://cloudup.com/c5ZRj3rB9gj
2) On the theme options panel, for the slider options section enable to display the slider caption: https://cloudup.com/cWwZNj5wDV6
