Order of article categories on the Homepage

Hello–
Is there a way to reorder the article categories on the Homepage? I found an old forum post referencing the Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order plug-in, but the plug-in doesn’t work and simply brings me to a page that asks me if I like and if I would like to upgrade to the advanced version. Is there a newer plug-in that you would recommend or a workaround of some sort?
Thanks,
Tiffany

Thank you for writing. I’ve moved the topic to the Flatbase forum.
This is the plugin that you’ve been trying with? http://wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/

Juan.Juanfra Aldasoro January 14, 2016 at 10:49 pmHello Tiffany,
Thank you for the follow up. I’ve just tested the plugin and it is still working. It suggest users to try their new plugins but just below that you can still order the categories. Please check the screenshot: https://cloudup.com/c947iI1DwBi
You can get to that screen by going to “Articles > Taxonomy Order”

Juan.tchillidog January 15, 2016 at 2:02 pmThat’s so strange. I don’t have anything between the donate box and the update button like in your screenshot. All my articles and its categories are published, but the site is in maintenance mode right now. Do you think that has anything to do with it or some other setting that I have disabled?
Juanfra Aldasoro January 15, 2016 at 2:11 pmHi Tiffany,
Thank you for the follow up.
If you go to “Settings > Taxonomy Terms Order” what do you see?

Juan.tchillidog January 15, 2016 at 2:36 pmAh, I didn’t even look there. This is what I have:

Juanfra Aldasoro January 15, 2016 at 11:18 pmHi Tiffany,
Thank you for the follow up.
Please try setting “Autosort” to “On”. As they explain in their documentation, that’s how you can set the order for the different taxonomies: http://www.nsp-code.com/taxonomy-terms-order-and-auto-sort-admin-sort-description-an-usage/

Juan.tchillidog January 17, 2016 at 6:08 pmHi Juan,
Thanks for the suggestion and link. I enabled autosort, but it doesn’t seem to fix the problem. Do you think this is because I’m using a multisite plug-in?

Juanfra Aldasoro January 18, 2016 at 12:54 pmHi Tiffany,
Thank you for the follow up.
Perhaps is that. Have you checked for that configuration that you have the user level required to edit the categories order?

Juan.tchillidog January 19, 2016 at 9:01 pmHi Juan,
Yes, I’ve double check that the network and site level configuration is equal to the required user level to edit the category order.

Juanfra Aldasoro January 19, 2016 at 9:55 pmHi Tiffany,
Thank you for the follow up.
That sounds pretty strange. Would you send us the site access details to support@nicethemes.com so we can take a look?
Best,
Juan.tchillidog January 20, 2016 at 9:24 pmHi Juan,
I just sent you site access to support@nicethemes.com. The site in question is called “SEO-Rx” under My Sites at the top left hand corner.
Thanks,
Tiffany
tchillidog January 20, 2016 at 9:33 pmOh and one more think that is unrelated. Seems like there are a bunch of CSS errors with the theme as well.
