Hi,

I’m pretty much a beginner to WP.
I got this problem that my website is slow. Very slow. I reduced my images weight but it does’nt improving anything. I tried to download plugin such as WP Super Cache. But nothing. It even seems slower then before…

Now I only got the loading page…

Can you help me ?

Hi Maverick,

I took a look at your site, and it loads at a normal speed considering your setup. In fact, your GTmetrix report is pretty good. However, I see the spinner overlay is not going away after the page loads, which can be seen (understandably) as a speed problem.

This kind of issue is often related to a JavaScript error, when a JS file creates a conflict with another. JS optimization plugins sometimes have to do with this, and we see you have two of them in your site: WP Fastest Cache and Fast Velocity Minify. We recommend deactivating those two, at least temporarily, to make sure they’re not causing conflicts.

Also, there are other JS files being loaded from plugins you have activated in your site. As those files are not under our control, we cannot be sure if some of them create conflicts with the theme. So we suggest deactivating all your plugins temporarily and one by one (except for the ones recommended by the theme), until you can see the site loading normally. Then keep deactivated the one that caused the issue.

If you reach a point where your site is only using the recommended plugins and the theme, and you still cannot see the site loading normally, there we could say there’s an issue with the theme. Sadly, we cannot be sure of this until you get to that point, since there are other plugins involved that we don’t control.

Keep in mind that, after deactivating the caching and optimization plugins, your site may be a little slower. This is expected to happen and completely normal during the debugging process. Once the issue is solved, then you can activate those plugins again.

The plugins you’re using for cache and optimization should be OK, but we recommend using W3 Total Cache and Autoptimize. Also, we suggest not using both at the same time to minify CSS and JS files, so you can just ignore these settings in W3 Total Cache, and use the following configuration for Autoptimize: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l621ucr6mlpuepk/Screen%20Shot%202017-06-28%20at%2014.53.49-fullpage.png?dl=0&raw=1.
